  • Communal Den

Well of course these rivals of the lions have a den. Pups mostly stay here, with larger dens nearby for the adults. You wouldn't want to be found wandering around here though.

  • Hunting Grounds

The hunting grounds here aren't as prosperous as the Lion's...Which is causing some of the Hyenas to get very bold. Watch out though. If your caught here they won't be happy to see you.

  • Dirt Run

The Hyena's territory isn't as nice as the lion's. unfortunately for them their watering hole isn't the best in the world and the area around it is mostly bland dirt with dusty air.

  • Solitary Rock

Outside near the boarder of the Hyena's territory is where you can find a large rock protruding out of the ground next to an old Wattle tree. This place provides a small shelter underneath the rock, enough for two laying down.

  • The Pack's Den

The wild dogs stay here along with the pups. Theres never any real knowledge of how many dogs in the pack there are as they are always coming and going and it is hard to tell the difference

  • Hunting Grounds

Unlike the hyenas most of the wild dog's don't have too much of a problem with lion's hunting here. They ignore territory in other species however, they won't take to having a kill stolen.

  • Water Rock

The wild dog's watering spot is surrounded by a large rock on one side, but that doesn't stop animals from coming to get a drink. Watch out though....this place is infested with danger beneath the surface...

  • Tulip Tree Garden

Close to the Elephant territory is a strange area where numerous African tulip trees cluster, a great place to hide from others. The trees big beautiful orange-red flowers bloom in late winter, a spectacular site to behold.

  • The Termite Mound

If you wander for a while along the beaten paths through the tall scrub and grasses, you will soon reach a city. This city is a Termite heaven, their towers tall and majestic, almost reaching the sky; or at least that's how it looks from our point of view! A good place to kick back, and enjoy a good lunch of delicious termites. Just make sure you keep looking on the horizon, Hyenas and Wild Dogs are known for hanging around here.

  • The Watering Hole

A small watering hole a couple yards away from the Meerkat's Den, it's too small to really be used by larger animals, so the meerkat's get all of their water from here. Though, its very dangerous to go alone, you never know what could be lurking in the tall grass, waiting for a meal to come along for a drink.

  • The Burrows

The very heart of Meerkat Territory; this is our home. Above ground everyone joins together in cleaning and grooming sessions; where pups get their first glimpses of daylight, and can enjoy running around wrestling. Adults can lay in the sun, warm up in the sun, and maybe catch a nap.

  • Look-Out Log

A tree has fallen beside the Meerkat's burrows, and been very useful protecting them against strong winds, floods, and they can lay inside to stay out of the scorching afternoon sun. But, most of all, the massive roots stick up in the air, giving a look-out perfect view of most of the plains around the Burrows.

  • Snake and Scorpion Path

A hidden path that leads from the burrows to a large gorge filled with boulders, and spiney plants. Known for only two things; Puff adders and Scorpions. The risk is great, you can get bit/stung, fall and be crushed by boulders, or maybe the heat will get to you. If you are willing to risk, the food is plentiful, just don't wander too far! Meerkats have walked this path before... and never come back!

  • Grasslands

The herd continually moves around the Misfit Pride lands, they know better then to deal with the Elephants head on. Here in the Grasslands, the chances of them intersecting is great, since the grasslands are Misfit Pride's primary hunting grounds.

  • Bone Pit

On the edge of the Elephant territory, near the side closest to the Hyena's territory, is the Bone pit. A deep pit in the ground, lies here, almost like a deep pond once flowed through the land, but has gone dry. The Elephants come here for only two things, to mourn those they have lost in the past, or to lay down, and die. This is considered a Holy land to the Elephants, and will kill any creature that dares cross the border to feast on some easy flesh.
